Hi there, so brief introduction about myself. I have 1st Class Honors Degree in Computer Science from UCC, after which I moved into the world of Software Development working mostly with ASP.Net using both VB.Net and C#, with SQL Server as the back end data store. Ten years of development lead me wanting a change, so I moved into the world of SQL Code optimization for 12 months before making the move of becoming a full-time SQL Server DBA in 2018. Things have moved quickly since, my job has expanded to include additional data stores such as Aurora Postgres and S3, where I both manage the Infrastructure and write a lot of database code. But enough about me, hopefully you find this blog useful!
